It is really important we all follow the guidance being given by Public Health England in prevention of further cross contamination especially throughout our team as they interact with so many vulnerable unwell people already. This is constantly changing so please ensure you keep up to date with the advice and guidance. In order to help protect you our staff will be required to wash their hands more frequently. If it is possible for you to assist us and provide liquid dispenser soap this would be much appreciated and play a huge part in assisting managing infection control within your home.
In the case that the situation does escalate we will do our best to continue to provide adequate support for you and will keep in contact with you should your service be affected.
We have implemented a system for service priority (we call this a RAG rating Red/Amber/Green).

- Only RED high priority calls will be delivered during times of extreme staff shortage.
- If your visit is provided to assist with domestic services, shopping or you live with family who can assist you we may not be providing these services.
- You may also receive services by a male or a female in the circumstances of reduced staff numbers.
- You will be notified if your visit times must change in the circumstances of reduced members of staff.
Our commitment to keeping you safe in your own homes:
- All staff members are tested weekly for Covid-19.
- All staff members have access to the Covid-19 vaccination.
- Carry out strict infection control throughout your visit.
- Wear full PPE and continue to follow the up-to-date guidance from Public Health England.
- All staff are encouraged to have the flu jab on an annual basis.
- We ask you not to have visitors at the same time as a carer is due, if this cannot be helped please ask them to stay in another room to respect your dignity and to reduce the risk of contamination.
